A Vacancy at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
We are looking to recruitanexperienced, motivated and enthusiastic Speciality Doctor who possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work with a diverse range of clients in our clinics.
This permanent, full time post is based at the St Stephen’s Centre (SSC) at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in John Hunter Clinic for Sexual Health and Kobler HIV outpatients clinic. We are aiming to attract a doctor who has a good working knowledge of the NHS with aminimum of 2-year experience in Sexual health and HIV Medicine. There is no on call component associated with this post.
The Kobler HIV Clinic delivers care to over 5000 people living with HIV and offers specialist clinics in HIV/cardiology, HIV/neurology and HIV/hepatitis amongst others. John Hunter sexual health Clinic provides a comprehensive sexual health and contraception service. We will encourage and support the post holder to gain formal qualifications in sexual and reproductive health, including the DFSRH and Letters of competence in LARC insertion.
You will be encouraged to participate in audit, research and teach medical students attached to the team.
All sites currently provide training in LARC insertion by trainers registered with the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Health, and offer a regular complex contraception clinics. We encourage and support clinical fellows to gain formal qualifications in sexual and reproductive health, including the DFSRH and Letters of competence in LARC insertion.
The post-holders will be required to build on existing close relations with colleagues as part of a multidisciplinary team. They will be encouraged to participate in audit, research and teach medical students attached to the team. There is a strong focus on service development and improvement within the department, and the post holderswould be highly encouraged to develop and support similar service improvement projects.
The doctor will be based in the outpatient sexual health and HIV services at the Chelsea Site where they will see both sexual health and HIV patients, as well as patients attending for contraception.

The post holder will provide a range of clinical care within Sexual Health, HIV and contraception consistent with the overall role and grade of the post
And will:
Provide, develop and monitor clinical sessions to best meet the needs of the patients.
Accept responsibility for the maintenance and development of his / her own clinical skills / knowledge.
Treat all patients in a sensitive non-judgmental manner
.Maintain confidentiality in accordance with national and local policies.
· Participate in clinical audit, supporting the clinical lead consultant in ensuring that the practice of medical colleagues reflects current research findings, and is in line with Trust procedures and is appropriate for each individual client for whom care is provided.
Ensure that service standards and protocols are kept up-to-date, working with team colleagues to facilitate in–house training / updating programmes as required.
Work flexibly across a variety of clinical settings.
Participate in the provision of expert clinical advice and professional leadership as part of the Sexual Health and HIV Service Team.
Uphold the values and vision of the Sexual Health and HIV Service.
