We're looking for an experienced leader to join our 3rd Party Resources and Governance Team at DWP Digital.
In this pivotal role, you'll:
- Lead a high-performing team delivering expert recruitment and governance services.
- Oversee the recruitment and management of non-permanent resources.
- Ensure compliance with IR35 and departmental governance standards.
- Lead on the 3rd party contract and supplier management, monitoring performance and compliance.
- Collaborate with Finance, Commercial, HR, and Tax teams to manage supplier performance and contracts.
- Drive continuous improvement in our operating model and governance processes.
- Provide insight and assurance to senior stakeholders and audit bodies.
- Shape commercial strategies that align with our digital transformation goals, ensuring value for money and supporting sustainable outcomes.
You'll play a key role in ensuring that the department has the right external talent and governance frameworks to deliver against our strategic priorities.

What skills, knowledge and experience will you need? How will this be assessed?

- Lead criterion: Leadership - Significant experience of leading the end-to-end recruitment process in a large and complex organisation, for roles at all levels which are ideally specialist and/or hard to fill, with the ability to work in a highly pressurised environment.
- Experience of designing and implementing governance and/or approvals processes.
- Demonstrable evidence of contract management performance and identifying opportunities to drive improvements.
- Proven ability and experience of designing and implementing recruitment/resourcing strategies
- Highly effective stakeholder management skills gained through a complex and/or large organisation, and able to work with a wide range of people inside and outside own area.
- Have significant experience delivering projects, including from early stage, with the ability to ensure multiple workstreams deliver to time and to the highest standard.
You'll need to evidence sufficiently against the lead criteria to progress to a full application review. The sift panel will use the information in your employment history and personal statement to assess your experience, skills and knowledge against the essential criteria.

Hybrid Working: We work a hybrid model - you'll spend some time working at home and some time collaborating face to face in a hub.
Pay: We offer competitive pay of up to £77,740.
Pension: You'll get a brilliant civil service pension with employer contributions worth 28.97%.
Holidays: A generous leave package starting at 26 days rising to 31 days over time.
