Job Introduction

We're now looking for a Multi-Skilled Technician (Engineer) to join our Facilities Management team at the Welsh Government BCP site.

Whatyou’ll do:

  • Maintain, repair, and install critical plant and building systems

  • Deliver a mix of electrical, mechanical, and general building tasks

  • Respond to emergency faults and minimise downtime

  • Work with specialist contractors and integrate their work into site operations

  • Take ownership of key systems such as BMS, HVAC, fire safety, and boiler control systems

What you bring:

  • Must-Haves:
    • Recognised qualifications in HVAC (City & Guilds) and/or electrical/mechanical services

    • Minimum 5 years’ hands-on engineering experience in building maintenance

    • Confidence diagnosing faults and performing multi-trade repairs

    • Strong understanding of statutory building requirements and asset lifecycles

    • Comfortable working with digital systems (PDA/CAFM)

    • Valid UK driving licence and ability to pass BPSS vetting (inc. DBS)

  • Bonus Points if You Have:

    • HNC/HND in an engineering or building services discipline

    • Asbestos awareness, CSCS certificate, or experience with PDA systems

    • Additional trade skills or certifications
