Support delivery and development of innovative ways of working with clients including the use of novel technologies. Planning, development and deliver sexual health promotion strategy to include outreach programme, c-card condom provision and local delivery of the National Chlamydia Screening programme and young peoples sexual health programme Guide the strategic development of Chlamydia Screening Programme in line with national guidance and to improve access to SHAC services for U25s in Brighton & Hove. Implement innovative ways of working to reach young people. To work as an effective and responsive team member, arriving promptly and working effectively during agreed hours. To support other team members taking a shared approach to teamwork. To attend CSP and home-sampling meetings where issues relevant to this role are being discussed. Able to work autonomously within the framework of SHAC service and Trust policies and guidelines to meet targets and deadlines as agreed with line manager. Assist in health impact assessments and the use of research methods and tools such as critical appraisal and health equity audits. In conjunction with Local Authority/UH Western colleagues and other partners, assess local health needs including the wider determinants of health and formulate health promotion strategies and projects that would meet these needs. Produce regular reports on sexual health promotion activity and to work with colleagues to ensure that sexual health Promotion work is data driven effective and evidence based Managing budget with team To ensure SHAC visibility at key city events targeting young people such as Freshers/New student events, STI Testing Week etc People Management and Development To support and mentor the Health Promotion Administrator, overseeing session and training delivery. To co-ordinate and manage new and junior staff with regard to outreach events and sessional delivery. To take lead responsibility for the safety checks and risk assessments for all work held outside of the department. Uphold professional standards and act as advocate for the Department. Maintain a highly organised office environment to maintain confidentiality and data protection and set office standards for the team. To provide leadership on health promotion projects relating to sexual health services and the development, implementation and evaluation of relevant strategies and action plans. To develop, manage and deliver a Sexual Health Promotion Plan to be rolled out to all colleagues working with young people to ensure a joined up and consistent approach to sexual health work across the city. To be responsible for the continued growth in the recognised Contraception and Sexual Health Branding and ensure that material is produced in line with this and is visible, meaningful and effective. To act as a media spokesperson for work area and other relevant issues as agreed with line manager. Assist the integrated Public Health Team in establishing key health promotion priorities in the City and in drawing up a relevant service activity plan. To supervise and manage admin posts as required. -line management of B4 roles in Health promotion administration and home testing/on-line administration Patient Care Delivery To work directly with young people to ensure that Health Promotion messages are relevant to the target audience and to ensure ongoing service user involvement throughout aspects of the work undertaken. To work closely with education settings including school based sexual health drop ins and ensure clear pathways to GP drop ins, and all teams in SHAC. To initiate and/or lead on outreach sessions to particular populations and communities, including vulnerable young people and ensuring all the pathways into targeted services are in place. Deliver education and training sessions as required. Deliver virtual education and training sessions as required, utilising novel technologies to maximise learning. Deliver and/or support with assemblies, talks and lectures to provide information and screening to large groups of students. Development, delivery and evaluation of training packages for professional providers. Co-ordinate meetings, appointments and teaching sessions. To work closely with Primary Care partners to ensure CSP KPIs are met and clear referral pathways are in place, including treatment and follow-up.
