About The Role

LiveWest is one of the largest housing providers in the South West, owning and managing over 40,000 homes. We are seeking a proactive, detail-orientated Senior Business Partner to join our finance team, focusing on supporting our central teams. In this pivotal role, you'll support our key back office functions including our IT, People, Facilities and Project teams, guiding senior managers and budget holders with essential financial insights to help achieve performance goals.

Key Responsibilities:

- Deliver financial expertise to support LiveWest's key back office functions including our IT, People, Facilities and Project teams.
- Partner with senior managers to address financial performance challenges, ensuring accountability and progress.
- Lead the preparation of our annual budgets and non housing capital investment in our 30-year business plan, supporting long-term and sustainable growth in our business.

This role is being offered on a full time, permanent basis. You can be based in our Weston-super-Mare or Exeter office, and a hybrid way of working, with 2 - 3 days per week in the office, dependent on business need, is available.

About The Candidate

To be successful in your application for the role of Senior Business Finance Partner, you will have the essential skills and experience for a level 3 role (please see candidate information pack) and the following role specific skills and experience:


- CCAB (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) part or fully qualified, or equivalent experience if an internal candidate (if part qualified, you will be continuing your studies of which LiveWest will support).
- Evidence of continuing professional development.
- Good working knowledge of MS Office and finance/housing management systems.
- Strong grasp of financial and management accounting, budgeting, variance and ratio analysis, and Value for Money principles.
- Skilled in project planning, process improvement, and translating complex data into meaningful reports.
- Demonstrated accuracy and strong focus on risk management.
- Desirable: Advanced MS Excel, familiarity with Power BI.
- Desirable: Preferably you will have a background in social housing, or a related sector.
