Your new role
- Planning and preparing accounts for a variety of clients (e.g. Sole Traders, Partnerships and Limited Companies) from client records for review by manager or reporting partner.
- Sending final accounts to clients.
- Assist less senior colleagues with accounts completion
- Setting budgets for accounts preparation.
- Preparing and reviewing personal and Corporation Tax Returns along with tax planning.
- Calculating income tax liabilities.
- Cash flow forecasting work.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing clients
- Dealing with everyday correspondence and emails in a timely manner.
- Tax enquiries work as they arise.
- Preparation of management and financial accounts
- Assisting with coaching and developing junior members of the team, including on-the-job training
- Providing software training to clients
- Daily completion of your timesheet
- Continuous professional development to deepen your own knowledge and understanding and keep up to date with any changes within the industry
What you'll need to succeed
- AAT qualified with at least 4 years' practice experience, or ACA/ACCA part-qualified with a minimum of 8 years' experience.
- Strong experience in accounts preparation and tax
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, Xero, and CCH
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong client relationships
- A proactive attitude and the ability to support and mentor junior colleagues
- Practice experience
