A Vacancy at Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
We are looking to appoint a fixed term Clinical Fellow (ST3 equivalent) in Clinical Haematology for a period of 12 months from August 2025 to join our internationally recognised, forward thinking team at an exciting time for Haematology in Liverpool.
The successful applicant will get experience in the inpatient and outpatient management of non-malignant haematology patients (including general haematology, thrombosis, bleeding disorders, immunohaematology, TMA and haemoglobinopathy). As a research active department there will be opportunities to become engaged with audit and research during the role.
This post would be ideally suited to a doctor interested in a career in Haematology, and seeking to obtain further experience prior to application, although applicants to general practice and other specialities will find this a useful experience.
The successful applicant will work with the multidisciplinary team to provide Clinical Haematology (non-malignant) services to the Trust. The main duties include:
• Medical Cover for Non-Malignant Haematology Inpatients including Daily Ward Rounds (alternating with colleagues)
• Medical Cover for Non-Malignant Haematology Day Case patients (alternating with colleagues)
• Outpatient Clinics – Specialist Non-Malignant Haematology and General Haematology
• Consultative/Liaison Haematology provision to LUHFT
