Successful applicants will be working as a Senior Clinical Fellow in Clinical Pharmacology & Therapeutics. Clinical Pharmacology services at the Royal Liverpool Hospital are combined with Acute Medicine; as they sit together in the division of medicine within the sub-division of acute and emergency care.

The post will provide 12 months of dedicated IMT3+ experience as a medical registrar. This includes attending a weekly specialist hypertension clinic, working in AMU across our 3 wards and Same Day Emergency Care, and participating in general medical oncalls.

Clinical Pharmacology & Therapeutics at the Royal Liverpool Hospital has a phase I accredited NIHR Liverpool Clinical Research Facility and this post will allow dedicated sessions for NHS-based research on a rotational basis for 3 months.

Fully integrated member of Clinical Pharmacology and Acute Medicine team

12 months to include rotation between Acute Medicine and the NIHR Clinical Research Facility

Undertaking weekly outpatient clinics and follow up of patients with dedicated admin time

Encouraged to actively participate in quality improvement and research with flexibility towards career interests.

The 12-month post is flexible to provide a combination of medical cover in Acute Medicine at IMT3+ level, attending a weekly specialist hypertension clinic; and gaining unique and valuable experience in phase I clinical trials.

Successful applicants will also be expected to join the on-call general medical rota for 9 months.

There will be opportunities to take part in the weekly education sessions and work closely with all members of the multi-disciplinary team.
