Salary: UofG Grade 4, All your living expenses (rent and utility bills) will be covered. You will also receive a payment of between £2000-£2600 PA, pro-rated.

This post is approximately 8hrs per week and fixed term until the 12th of June 2026.

An exciting opportunity is available at the University of Glasgow for a Warden at our Maclay Residence.

The warden role is an important representative of the Residence Life team living on site. The warden will demonstrate a thorough and in-depth knowledge of the site and build strong relationships with both site security and accommodation teams. The warden will work closely with the wider Residence Life Team, specifically team members delivering events and welfare support within the residences. You will work closely with the wider team to ensure students are following fire safety guidance on site and will at times support colleagues in relation to behaviour and welfare management as and when required. You will also support your site, the wider Residence Life team and accommodation services with induction, arrivals and promotional activities

Your role will be front facing and student focused. You will provide support and direction and be passionate about student welfare and student experience. Your input will be vital in ensuring there is a holistic understanding of Student Experience on site. This role is fixed term until the 12th June 2026.

The hours for this role are approximately 8 contract hours per week, however flexibility is required. In addition to this you will be expected to be available for emergency situations or facilitate student meeting as and when necessary and when requested by your line manager. All your living expenses (rent and utility bills) will be covered. You will also receive a payment of between £2000-£2600 PA, pro-rated.The Warden will be required to be in residence from 6th September of the year they are appointed prior to mandatory training. Any requests to be absent from your site must be approved by your Line Manager. All appointments are conditional on all financial accounts with Accommodation Services being up to date by 31st May of current year of employment.
