Are you a passionate Physiotherapist looking to make a real difference in the lives of stroke patients? The Royal London Hospital, the leading tertiary Neurosciences and Major Trauma centre for North East London and Essex, invites you to become a key player in a groundbreaking initiative within our Stroke Therapy Team.
This is your chance to work in one of London’s eight designated Hyper-Acute Stroke Units (HASUs)—a specialist environment at the forefront of stroke treatment and recovery. As part of a brand-new, dynamic team, you will deliver expert, patient-centred physiotherapy from the very first moment a stroke patient arrives in the Emergency Department (ED), and for Stroke patients when they’re temporarily cared for on non-stroke wards.
• To assist and contribute to organising, developing and delivering a high-quality physiotherapy service provided to Stroke patients in the Emergency Department (ED) and on outlying non stroke wards at the Royal London Hospital (RLH)
• To play a key role in the advanced assessment, treatment and clinical management of patients with Stroke, determining the clinical diagnosis, functional deficits and physiotherapy (PT) treatment program required.
• To work with senior colleagues in developing efficient and effective PT working processes to assist in producing a fully multi-professional team approach in a fast paced – high pressured environment.
• To work with the Clinical Lead Therapists to develop the service to best meet changing health and social care agendas.
• The post holder may be required to work in more than one speciality area.
• To contribute to a 7 day rota.
