Job Summary – University of Exeter Sport has an opportunity for a new graduate to join their team and support with the physical activity and wellness strands of the sport strategy. Your role will involve the development and delivery of a social sport programme for students and planning a calendar of social sport events throughout the academic year. This is an opportunity to develop your project and event management skills working with a range of stakeholders. This role is part of the Graduate Business Partnership (GBP) scheme and offers full-time hours (36.5 hours per week) for 12 months. You will be based at the university’s sports park on Streatham Campus in Exeter. Some evening work will be required to deliver planned activities. About You – You should be a graduate who has a degree in Sport, Physical Education, Leisure Management, or equivalent, has software qualifications including use of database, word processing, spreadsheets & PowerPoint, and ideally has NGB coaching awards and a First Aid at Work Certificate. You should have a high level of computer literacy, have excellent presentation and communication skills, including the ability to write reports and policy proposals, and the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines. You should have a friendly and approachable manner, be able to work innovatively, with an ability to generate ideas to continually improve participation opportunities, and be committed to finding solutions to complex problems. You should have a flexible and adaptable approach to work, willing to embrace and actively participate in innovation and change, be able to work under own initiative and be ‘self-directed’, and be committed to providing a high-quality customer focused service and continuously improve delivery. You should be tactful and friendly with a helpful approach, have the ability and willingness to work as part of a team as well as working under own initiative, be able and willing to adapt to changes in working practices and the implementation of new technology, and have knowledge of Sport development processes and pathways. You should also have a track record of establishing new programmes and increasing participation rates, experience of organising a wide range of events and projects, have responsibility for the health and safety of activities and programmes, and have experience on a committee position of a sports club/society.

GBP Scheme Requirements
To be eligible to apply and undertake a GBP role the graduate must meet all of the following criteria:
*To undertake a graduate role through the GBP scheme, you must have either achieved your degree or be in your final year at any UK-based university.
*You must have graduated in the UK within the last 3 years of your most recent degree (we will consider extenuating circumstances of potential applicants that may have prevented them from undertaking a graduate role within 3 years of graduation).
