Early Years Practitioner
Location: Raised in Bristol at Docklands Community Centre (BS2)
Salary: £27,206.40 per annum (£13.08 per hour)
Contract: Full time 40 hours per week
Join the team at Raised in Bristol, a not-for-profit social enterprise providing the very best early years education whilst brightening the local landscape by investing in our community. We’re looking for Early Years Educators, Practitioners and Teachers qualified at level 3+ to join the dream team at our wonderful city centre nursery. This team is headed up by the lovely Kellie, our Nursery Manager and many of the team at this nursery have been with us for several years. They’re a supportive bunch, passionate about their work and the children. We’re a passionate bunch at Raised In! We love what we do, and we’re committed to helping the youngest children reach their full potential in friendly, nurturing and engaging home-from-home environments. And we want you to join us! This nursery has just 56 places for children, so it has a more relaxed feel than larger settings. It consists of three light and airy rooms with a lovely, homely atmosphere. There’s also a wide verandah at the back of the building, along with a private garden! Located just a 5-minute walk from Cabot Circus and Stokes Croft, both have regular bus links across Bristol, also only a 10-minute walk from Montpelier train station and easily accessible by bike. This nursery is really central and as a result, parking in the area is tricky, so we are looking for candidates who can reasonably commute on public transport, by bike or who live locally.
Why work with us? We really value our expert team. As well as offering competitive pay for all roles in a friendly and supportive team, you’ll receive lots of great benefits: ● Competitive pay ● Annual pay reviews ● Paid lunch 1 hour break ● 50% off for your child in our nurseries ● Enhanced maternity pay ● Employer pension ● ‘Refer a friend’ bonus for introducing new team members to us ● 28 days holiday (inc bank holidays, FTE) ● Your Birthday off and an Annual Wellbeing Day (in addition to your annual leave) ● Plus 3 extra days off between Christmas and New Year ● 24/7 access to a remote GP for you and your family ● Career progression and training opportunities
What about you? If you’re a qualified Level 3 Early Years Practitioner, Educator, or Teacher in Bristol looking for an exciting new role that makes a real difference, Raised In could be your perfect next step! To apply for this role, you will need to have a relevant qualification in early years – NNEB, NVQ Level 3+ (Childcare & Education), BTEC (Childcare) or equivalent, or higher qualification such as QTS, Foundation Degree or BA Hons in early years education or child development.
You’ll have (in line with Raised in Behaviours) ● The ability to contribute to creating a welcoming, inclusive, collaborative and supportive environment ● Children’s needs at the forefront of everything that you do ● A positive mindset, approaching tasks with a can-do-attitude ● A strong work ethic, setting a good example for others and supporting your team ● The want to make a difference, working in partnership positively with your team ● The want to be part of trying or suggesting new initiatives and ways of doing things ● High standards for yourself, team and the nursery ● A reflective mindset, open to feedback and ongoing self-improvement
