The Role:We are looking for a digitally skilled and proactive Technician/Facilitator – Digital to support the delivery of digital and Esports courses. You will play a key role in maintaining and demonstrating digital media equipment and software as well as supporting with Esports delivery, supporting students in practical sessions, and ensuring the smooth operation of our digital and Esports technical environments.Key Responsibilities:Support students and staff in the use of digital media equipment and software.Supervise and assist students during practical sessions in labs and classrooms.Prepare, maintain, and manage digital equipment, materials, and inventory.Set up and maintain digital systems for IT hardware, networking, laptops and Esports facilities.Install and test new equipment, ensuring safe and effective operation.Provide technical support for events, workshops, and curriculum delivery.Promote health and safety practices and engage in ongoing professional development.Who You Are:Do you hold a Level 3 qualification in a relevant digital/IT subject (or equivalent experience) and have industry experience in areas such as video production, photography, Esports and IT hardware/software maintenance. You are confident using software such as Adobe Creative Cloud (such as Adobe Premiere, Illustrator, Photoshop), Packet Tracer, MS Windows, MS Office, Unity, Unreal Engine or similar. You are highly organised, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You can work independently and collaboratively, managing multiple tasks and deadlines. You are committed to supporting students from diverse backgrounds in a digital and Esports learning environment. A degree or equivalent qualification in a digital IT / Esports field is desirable but not essential.What We Offer:Pension: New City College provides a career average pension scheme for all staff.
