Summary
Reed Education, in partnership with Lancashire County Council, are currently seeking a nurturing and reliable Teaching Assistant to work 5 mornings per week from 8.45am to 12.30pm in a 1:1 SEN TA role. The successful candidate will support a female pupil in Year 5 who is developmentally working at EYFS level. The child has no behavioural concerns and just requires extra support from a nurturing and experienced TA. This role is long-term and will be starting in September 2025. This role requires a compassionate individual with experience in SEN, to support the pupil's educational journey in a lovely rural village school setting.
The pay for the role will be £14.18 per hour.
A minimum of a TA2 qualification or equivalent is required.
- Provide 1:1 support to a Year 5 girl, focusing on tailored educational activities that match her developmental level.
- Engage the student with interactive and educational games that promote learning and development.
- Assist with the preparation of learning materials that meet the specific needs of the child.
- Monitor the child's progress and communicate effectively with teachers and parents to ensure consistent support both at school and at home.
- Create a supportive and understanding environment to help the child thrive both academically and socially.
- Experience working with children with special educational needs (SEN).
- A nurturing and patient approach to student interaction.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with teachers and parents.
- Relevant qualifications in education or childcare (NVQ, CACHE, or equivalent) are preferable.
