Summary
Your new companyHays Education recruitment are currently looking for Teaching Assistants to join their growing database in the Chorley area. Great opportunities are available for daily to weekly to long-term vacancies within a range of primary schools and Early Years provisions. You will work alongside a supportive school team to ensure a safe learning environment is provided for all students.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will be required to offer support to pupils on a one-to-one basis and also in small groups both academically and emotionally.
Your new role
- Assist in the planning and delivery of age-appropriate activities
- Ensuring all children are engaged in learning and activities
- Support children's social, emotional, and physical development
- Observe and record children's progress, sharing insights with the teaching team
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
- Be comfortable assisting with personal care such as nappy changes
- Support children in managing their behaviour and emotions
What you'll need to succeed
- Knowledge of safeguarding
- DBS
- Experience in an educational setting/working with children
- Qualifications would be beneficial
- Full right to work in the UK
- Compassionate and patient
