Your new company
Hays Recruitment are proud to be supporting a Winsford-based SEN secondary school as they are looking to appoint two motivated and reliable teaching assistants for full-time temporary contracts that will last the full academic year. This is an extremely academic SEN school where all the pupils are extremely motivated and engaged in their learning.
Your new role
As a teaching assistant within this school, you will be supporting across all KS3 and KS4 classes. You will support the class teachers in the promotion of an engaging and stimulating learning environment for all pupils by differentiating learning material and utilising all available learning equipment. You will be supporting pupils with EHCPs on a 1:1 basis, but all needs within the school are extremely high functioning, with the majority of pupils working on the set curriculum. You will ensure that all pupils reach their full academic potential by completing intervention and booster sessions in all required subjects and building strong constructive relationships with pupils, which will intern promote engagement and focus. For the pupils that are falling behind on the curriculum, you will use intense interactions and 1:1 interventions within a separate class to make short fall area's points of strength.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered in your application you must have full "Right to Work" in the UK as well as a minimum of 40 days referenceable classroom experience within the last 2 years, as well as:
- Experience delivering interventions and boosters (Maths and English is essential)
- Be able to commit to a full-time long-term contract (32.5 hours per week)
- An NVQ Level 2 Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification is advantageous but not essential
