We are looking for a talented Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our team, driving excellence in UK Power Networks' engineering design and capital programme. This permanent position is based in our Maidstone or Crawley office, offering a generous salary of £80,574 plus a company car and a bonus of 3%.

As a Senior Electrical Design Engineer, your role is pivotal. You will deliver high-quality electrical designs for both non-contestable and contestable works, ensuring adherence to UK Power Networks design and CDM standards. By producing and assuring designs that comply with all relevant Codes of Practice and company standards, you will contribute significantly to maintaining our commitment to safety and quality.
Your work will involve collaborating with operational teams to ensure seamless processes from initial inquiry to project completion. Supporting and mentoring other team members is a key part of this role, enhancing their technical knowledge and contributing to a culture of excellence.
To succeed, you should have a background in electrical engineering with experience in power system and protection design at various voltages. Familiarity with DNO, ENA, and International Design Standards is essential, along with a good understanding of the CDM Regulations. Your proficiency in Microsoft applications and AutoCAD or Micro Station, combined with project management knowledge, will enable you to deliver high-standard designs and innovative solutions.
