We are looking for a warm, caring and respectful Relief Support Worker to join our friendly staff team in Heysham, Morecambe. At our vibrant service in Heysham, our passionate team of Support Workers provide quality person-centred support to people with autism spectrum conditions and additional learning disabilities, mental health needs and complex behaviours.
Relief Support Worker duties:
• Providing support, information and guidance to service users,
• Maximising service user outcomes by encouraging personal development and independent living skills,
• Empowering service users and promote their rights,
• Collaborating with service users, families and involved professionals to provide a consistent and coordinated service,
• A willingness to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of the service,
• You will have a choice of weekly or monthly pay.
A minimum of twelve months’ previous employed experience in a similar role is essential.
Experience in providing care and support to people with autism spectrum conditions, and knowledge of positive behavioural support and implementing mental health recovery models is preferable but not essential. It is desirable that you hold a relevant social care qualification.
