Are you a compassionate and reliable individual looking to make a real difference in people’s lives? We are currently recruiting Support Workers in Lancaster to work in a supported housing environment, helping vulnerable adults with complex needs.
About the Role:
As a Support Worker, you will be providing day-to-day support to individuals who are experiencing homelessness, mental health challenges, or have a history of substance misuse. Your role is to promote independence, build trust, and support service users in maintaining a safe and stable living environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide practical and emotional support tailored to individual needs
Assist with daily living skills such as cooking, budgeting, and appointments
Encourage engagement with support plans and external services
Maintain clear and accurate records
Promote a safe and respectful living environment for all residents
Requirements:
Previous experience working with vulnerable adults is desirable
Understanding of mental health, homelessness, or substance misuse issues
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
