We have an exciting opportunity for a Domestic Assistant to join our dedicated team in our Extra Care Service in Burry Port.
We have a 20 hour, permanent position available with various shifts

What is the role?

This is a vibrant 38-bed service, offering a mix of sheltered housing and care accommodation, alongside a welcoming day centre. Our tenants are individuals with unique personalities and varying support needs, including some living with dementia.

As an Extra Care service, we support people aged 55 and over who live independently in their own self-contained flats.

As a Domestic you will be responsible for ensuring that a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness is maintained throughout the Care Home, following best practices and guidelines within Health & Safety, Infection Control and COSHH regulations are adhered to.

Ensure that the cleaning schedules are maintained according to company policies and procedures.
A great part of this job is actively engaging residents in conversation and having meaningful interactions with them about their lives and experiences.

What skills and experience do you need?

A background of working within a care environment, or cleaning is desirable but not essential as full training and support from senior staff and management is provided.  More important are;

Excellent verbal communication skills
Able to work on own initiative
Demonstrates enthusiasm, commitment, and focus
