Your Role & Impact

As a Senior Care Assistant, you'll play a vital leadership role-supporting the wellbeing of our residents while guiding and mentoring junior team members. Working closely with our management team, you'll ensure each individual receives personalised, high-quality care with dignity, empathy, and respect.

What You'll Do:

  • Support residents with personal care, mobility, and emotional needs

  • Lead shifts confidently and provide hands-on guidance to colleagues

  • Contribute to and review person-centred care plans

  • Carry out and update risk assessments

  • Administer medication safely and accurately

  • Liaise with healthcare professionals to coordinate holistic care

  • Maintain clear documentation and uphold safeguarding practices

  • Promote choice, independence, and dignity in all aspects of care

What We're Looking For:
  • NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (essential)

  • NVQ Level 3 (or willingness to achieve it)

  • Experience supporting older adults in a care setting

  • Leadership skills and experience running a shift

  • Medication administration training and confidence in safe practice

  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

  • Up-to-date Manual Handling and First Aid training

  • A calm, patient, and practical approach
