An award winning Newport based Accountancy Practice are seeking an additional Accounts Senior to join their busy and friendly team.
The successful applicant to the Accounts Senior role will benefit from working within a well-appointed office with good transport links (onsite parking) and an unwavering support structure at the core of the business. It is imperative that you have worked within an Accountancy practice environment previously and can prepare accounts to final sign off.
You will be meeting and advising clients so clear and confident communication skills are imperative. It would be advantageous if you have working knowledge of Xero, QuickBooks and/ or Sage.
This role would suit an Accounts Senior who is part or fully ACA/ACCA qualified. ACCA study support options are available with this role and time off to study. ICAEW/ACCA subscriptions are also paid.

Accounts Senior duties and responsibilities
Working within the general Accounts department.
Managing an established portfolio of clients and meeting clients as and when required.
Preparation of annual financial statements from incomplete records and various accounting software packages.
Performing bank reconciliations.
Preparation of periodic management accounts using various accounting software packages, including Sage 50.
Demonstrating awareness of compliance legislation e.g. VAT, tax, PAYE.
Preparation of VAT returns.
Assisting junior colleagues as and when required.
Liaising with clients via email and telephone and providing a superior customer service.
Accounts Senior working hours Monday-Friday 37 hours per week.
Hybrid working, two days per week working from home once you have successfully passed your probationary period.
