We are looking for a Senior IT Service Manager to join our community of tech experts in DWP Digital. We're driving a once-in-a-generation transformation of government services.

As a Senior IT Service Manager in Retirement, Bereavement and Care, you will lead the implementation of service support strategies across 60+ products, ensuring quality, availability for products and services used by millions often when they're at their most vulnerable.
You'll define support models, manage service transitions, and champion collaboration with stakeholders to ensure safe, effective live service delivery.
You'll also oversee key initiatives in backup, ITDR, security, and patching, while promoting best practices in Change, Incident, Problem, and Event Management.
What skills, knowledge and experience will you need?
- ITIL qualified or equivalent experience is desirable.
- Proven management experience in large scale IT, layered multi-supplier organisations and services.
- Proven experience of the successful delivery of strategic goals, continual service improvement strategies to support products and/or services.
- Proven experience in collaborative working across boundaries with Retirement Senior Business Stakeholders to deliver Retirement services to meet business needs.
- Proven experience of leading individuals and teams to deliver IT service excellence

Location: You'll join us in our brilliant digital hub in Newcastle-upon-Tyne.
Hybrid Working: We work a hybrid model - you'll spend some time working at home and sometime collaborating face to face in a hub.
Pay: We offer pay of £55,557.
Pension: You'll get a brilliant civil service pension with employer contributions worth 28.97%, worth £16,094 per year.
Holidays: A generous leave package starting at 25 days and rising to 30 days over time.
You can also take up to 3 extra days off a month on flexi-time. You'll also get all the usual public holidays.
