About The Role
We are seeking a Procurement Officer to support procurement processes and ensure compliance with Public Procurement Regulations 2024. This role involves maintaining contract records, processing supplier forms, and conducting due diligence checks. You'll assist with tenders, including document preparation, submissions, notices, and contract awards. You'll help stakeholders comply with regulations by gathering quotations and publishing notices, while also conducting market testing, price benchmarking, and exploring framework options.

You'll ensure due diligence for suppliers and contracts, keep procurement information updated on the intranet, and manage the procurement plan to keep projects on track. Your role includes tracking savings through the value-for-money tracker, supporting contract mobilisation, and monitoring agreements. You'll also be responsible for minute taking, report writing, and providing guidance on procurement processes and Group Standing Orders.

You'll analyse spending data to identify savings and improve procurement efficiencies. Ideally, you have experience in procurement administration or a related field, strong organisational skills, and good attention to detail. Knowledge of public sector procurement regulations is desirable, along with effective communication and stakeholder management skills.

About you
Educated to A level standard or equivalent, you will have strong administration skills and experience working with stakeholders, building effective relationships. Confidence in using web-based systems, working with terms and conditions, and identifying commercial risks is essential. Experience using e-tendering systems is also required.

A qualification in business, logistics, supply chain management, purchasing, or supply is desirable, along with procurement or tendering experience. Knowledge of Public Contract Regulations 2015 and Procurement Act/Regulations 2023-24 would be advantageous. Familiarity with project management and data analysis tools would further support success in this role.

You’ll be organised, process-driven, and able to manage your workload independently. Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and listening skills are key. A creative mindset and the ability to think innovatively will be valuable. You’ll work collaboratively, motivating others and fostering teamwork. Flexibility is important, as occasional out-of-hours work may be needed for tender deadlines.
If this sounds like the right opportunity, apply today and take the next step in your career.

The successful applicant will require a basic Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate which is considered satisfactory to Housing Solutions.
