Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Procurement Officer to join our team. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our organization acquires goods and services efficiently, economically, and in a timely manner. The Procurement Officer will play an essential role in sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing purchase orders, all while maintaining high standards of quality, compliance, and ethical practices. As a Procurement Officer, you will collaborate with various departments to understand their purchasing needs, develop strategies for procurement, and oversee the evaluation and selection of vendors. Your expertise in the procurement process will directly contribute to the operational success of our organization, ensuring that we stay within budget constraints while meeting the demands of our projects. Responsibilities
Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize cost savings and efficiency.
Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and assess their capabilities.
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to secure the best deals.
Manage the procurement process, including requisition approvals and purchase order creation.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their purchasing needs and provide guidance on procurement practices.
Monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with contract terms and quality standards.
Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and vendor performance metrics.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Proven experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in a comparable role.
Strong negotiation skills with a track record of achieving cost reductions.
Excellent analytical skills to assess market trends and supplier capabilities.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Hours Per Week: 36.00
Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:30
Pay Per Day: £416.70
