Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Building Surveyor to join our growing team as part of the LBS-010 position. In this role, you will play a crucial part in overseeing various building projects, ensuring that they adhere to the relevant regulations, standards, and designs. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of building structures and materials, as well as a keen eye for identifying potential issues and solutions. You will conduct detailed inspections of buildings, report on their condition, and provide expert advice on maintenance and improvement options. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of projects ranging from residential to commercial properties, allowing you to apply your technical skills and contribute to the development of safe and efficient buildings. Responsibilities
Conduct thorough inspections of buildings and properties to assess their condition and compliance with regulations.
Prepare detailed reports on findings, including recommendations for repairs and upgrades.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and construction teams to ensure project specifications are met.
Provide expert advice on property maintenance and improvement options to clients and stakeholders.
Evaluate and select suitable materials and systems for building projects, considering durability and sustainability.
Assist in the preparation of project bids, documentation, and contracts as needed.
Monitor ongoing construction projects to ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Building Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
Professional accreditation as a Building Surveyor or equivalent certification.
Proven experience in building surveying, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
In-depth knowledge of building regulations, construction methods, and materials.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess complex building issues.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective stakeholder engagement.
Proficiency in using building surveying software and tools for inspections and reporting.
Hours Per Week: 37.00
Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:00
Pay Per Hour £23.67
