Recycling Assistant - Grade C

Description
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Recycling Assistant - Grade C to join our team and contribute to our commitment to environmental sustainability. As a Recycling Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the recycling and waste management efforts of our organization. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that recyclable materials are effectively sorted, collected, and processed in accordance with established protocols. This position requires a proactive approach to promoting recycling initiatives within the community and engaging with residents and businesses to raise awareness about the importance of recycling. You will work alongside other team members to facilitate the smooth operation of recycling programs, ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations. Responsibilities
Assist in the sorting of recyclable materials to ensure efficient processing.
Collect recyclables from designated areas and transport them to processing facilities.
Monitor and maintain recycling bins and containers to ensure they are not contaminated with non-recyclable materials.
Engage with community members to promote awareness and education about recycling practices.
Work collaboratively with team members to execute recycling initiatives and events.
Maintain accurate records of materials collected and report any issues or concerns to management.
Adhere to health and safety regulations while performing all duties, ensuring a safe working environment.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Strong interest in environmental issues and sustainability practices.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication skills to engage and educate the community.
Physical stamina and the ability to lift and carry heavy materials as needed.
Basic knowledge of recycling guidelines and procedures is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.

End Time: 16:00
Pay Per Hour: £12.85
