The Role
Following internal progression of existing team members, the Governance Services Team are looking to appoint 2 full time, term time Governance Support Officer to join a dedicated team of governance professionals.
This is an excellent opportunity to continue or commence your career in school and academy governance
As well as attending an allocated number of governing and trust board meetings and taking detailed minutes, the post holder should have the ability to present information clearly and assertively. You would provide support, advice and guidance on governance law and procedure to assist governors, trustees and school leaders in their leadership and management role. Whilst the role offers flexibility within the allocated hours, there will be a need to work some evenings, which can be paid as overtime.

About You
You should have an understanding and knowledge of the role of governors and trustees within the management structure of a school or academy and although experience in governance and academy law and procedure would be desirable, it is not essential as training will be provided.
You must have the ability to work on your own initiative and be able to demonstrate outstanding planning and organisational skills as well as being competent in word processing and the use of the Microsoft Windows package. (Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams) Evening working will be required, and the post holder may be required to work from home on occasion.
