Principle tasks and Responsibilities Working closely with the Director of Income Generation to develop a clear marketing and communications plan to support the core areas of fundraising and volunteering. Implement, monitor and analyse marketing and communications plans and budgets, providing insights and reports to the executive team and Board of Trustees as required. Identify appropriate online and offline channels to maximise promotion of hospice events and campaigns. Work closely with clinical colleagues to promote effective storytelling and sharing of patient stories, ensuring all necessary consents are in place. Proactively develop a long-term plan for internal and external communications across the hospice and wider community. Lead on content creation, coordination and production of high-quality hospice marketing materials, including comprehensive brand guidelines and event materials. Develop key messages and write engaging copy based upon these messages to ensure a consistent tone across all communications. Work with the Fundraising Managers to write and share engaging press releases and other articles. Oversee and lead on the hospice social media programme, maximising opportunities to increase our profile and engage with our supporters online. Lead on creating and updating content on our website, ensuring all information is accurate and on-brand, and optimise the user experience for our patients, families and supporters. Manage the ongoing and changing priorities, communicating and sharing progress in a clear and timely manner to foster a collaborative working environment. The post holder will be expected to manage their own workload, work under their own initiative and provide feedback, producing reports both verbally and in writing as required. To maintain knowledge of current marketing practices and procedures and of relevant legislation affecting marketing activities within the charitable/hospice sector. Regularly attend team and other meetings as appropriate, contributing positively to discussions and debates and participating in shared decision making. To act at all times in accordance with the policies and procedures of Halton Haven Hospice in a positive way that promotes Halton Haven Hospices reputation. In the event of possible conflict of interest full disclosure must be made to the Director of Income Generation. Act at all times as an ambassador for the organisation and maintain positive and effective communication both internally and externally in representing the service offered by the hospice. To undertake any other duties which may reasonably fall within the role of the post which may include attending events in the evening and at weekends.
