The Governing Body are keen to appoint a committed cleaner/caretaker to provide an effective efficient on-site service, ensuring the security of the buildings and surrounding areas, heating and lighting of the premises and minor maintenance work.
SKILLS
As well as being responsible for the opening and closing of the school, sometimes outside of school hours, it’s expected that the caretaker will be able to undertake, regular testing of systems i.e., fire alarm, emergency lighting and ensure that the building and resources are kept in a safe condition. Also, be responsible for the security of the school, including possibly responding to alarm calls out of school hours. This role will also include cleaning duties.
The successful candidate should have excellent organisation and communication skills. We seek a candidate with a good understanding of Health and Safety ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for everyone in the school; or a willingness to learn as training will be available.
