The BA (Hons) Games Design course provides a challenging programme of study that is innovative, lively, and critically rich. This exciting course motivates students to explore both the creative and technical dimensions of designing interactive and immersive game experiences. It places emphasis on the creation of prototypes and design documents using engaging gameplay elements, level development, and the crafting of compelling narratives. This ambitious course offers an exceptional experience with access to state-of-the-art software, advanced hardware, and dedicated studio spaces equipped with industry-standard, all set within an exciting specialist arts culture that affords opportunities for exciting collaborations and innovative projects.

This is an exciting time to join the course team, as you will have the opportunity to make a distinct contribution to this ambitious course. As a Programming Lecturer in Games Design, you will help plan, design and deliver the programming block on the BA (Hons) Games Design degree. You will be teaching on Games Design module on Level 5. Working individually and as a member of a team you will be expected to deliver teaching within a variety of settings including lectures, seminars, studio and workshops, peer reviews and individual tutorials.

You will have extensive knowledge and applied expertise in games programming, across practice, theory and concepts including prototyping, testing, and using Unity and Unreal with an emphasis on C++. Experience in Game Design is welcome.

The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge and expertise appropriate to Games Programming and Design as a discipline including emergent innovations, and contemporary contexts.
