About the Role

We are looking for a Programme Manager - Engineering to lead and support the Engineering curriculum in a progressive, learner-focused educational institution in Leeds. This is a full-time temporary position with the potential to become permanent, ideal for someone with experience in Electronic and Manufacturing Engineering education who is ready to step into a leadership role.

You will lead on the delivery of Higher Technical Qualifications (HTQs) and Level 4 apprenticeships, supporting learners in vocationally rich, professionally aligned courses.

Essential Requirements

  • Degree in a relevant Engineering field (e.g., Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing).
  • Level 5 teaching qualification or willingness to work towards.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
  • Eligibility to work in the UK

Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery and growth of the Engineering Department's provision.
  • Manage a team of academic and support staff.
  • Set and monitor performance targets to ensure high achievement.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching and learning strategies.
  • Design and oversee schemes of work and assessment plans.
  • Ensure a consistent, high-quality student experience.
  • Monitor student retention, attendance, and success rates.
  • Analyse data to inform curriculum improvements.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and practices.
  • Provide advice, guidance, and pastoral support to students.
