Summary
deVOL Kitchens is one of the leading and most highly regarded kitchen companies in the UK, with manufacturing and design offices based in Leicestershire, London, New York and Bath. We are looking for a highly motivated and capable person to join our rapidly growing workshop team in Shepshed.
The role will involve supporting the Panel Preparation team with tasks such as sanding and prepping panels and carcasses, assisting in the production of freestanding pieces, including plate racks, larder ladders, canopies, and false chimney breasts.
This role will include a lot of manual handling as you will be required to lift heavy materials as well as standing for long periods of time.
Other responsibilities include, but aren't limited to:
- Assembling carcass components.
- Carrying out quality checks throughout the process, ensuring work is completed on time while maintaining high standards.
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
- Using various machinery and saws.
- Supporting other departments as needed.

- Show excellent attention to detail and take pride in producing high-quality work.
- Be confident carrying out manual tasks, including standing for long periods of time and some heavy lifting.
- Have some experience in wood finishing or bench joinery (advantageous), with a willingness to learn and develop your skills.
- Show a keen interest in carpentry and joinery.
We offer a competitive salary and during your first year, you will receive training in the role and performance appraisals where your pay will be reviewed. After this, we offer annual pay reviews and continued support from the team.
You will receive 22 days of annual leave (plus bank holidays) which can increase with length of service and experience, as well as life insurance, a wellness program, cycle 2 work scheme and company events.
