Sports Mentor - SEMH Teaching Assistant
Location: Shepshed (LE12) Commutable from Leicester & Loughborough
Pay: £90 - £100 per day
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm (term time only)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Long-term with potential to become permanent

We are looking for a Sports Mentor - SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) setting in Shepshed (LE12). This school offers a therapeutic, non-mainstream environment for children who need a fresh, positive start, and they're seeking resilient, compassionate individuals ready to inspire and support students.

Your Role as a Sports Mentor - SEMH Teaching Assistant Will Include:
- Supporting pupils aged 4-13 with SEMH needs
- Using movement and physical activity to build trust and help pupils regulate emotions
- Providing 1:1 and small group support inside and outside of the classroom
- Helping young people develop resilience, confidence, and communication skills
- Working alongside teachers, therapists, and support teams to implement tailored plans
What We're Looking For:
- Experience working with young people in any capacity (e.g. , sports coaching, youth mentoring, outdoor activities)
- A calm, patient approach with a genuine passion for helping others
- Willingness to build strong, positive relationships with pupils
- No formal qualifications needed - we value your character, resilience, and commitment
