We are seeking an ambitious early career fundraiser with excellent communication skills to join our Development team. As Development Officer, you will underpin our three main areas of fundraising – Individuals, Corporates, and Trusts & Foundations, and have the chance to look after your own portfolio of supporters. You will be an integral part of the Unicorn’s Development team working close alongside the Development Director, Individual Giving Manager and Trusts and Foundations Manager.
You will manage the Unicorn’s portfolio of Corporate Supporters, be responsible for the stewardship and annual renewal process of our Corporate Members, and support the Development Director with research and prospecting to help grow our Corporate Membership scheme. You will work across all areas of Individual Giving, being the day-to-day contact for our regular givers and supporting the Individual Giving Manager and Development Director with Major Donors. You will support the Trusts and Foundations Manager with research and information gathering for reports and applications. The Development Officer will manage events for the department and oversee all areas of administration for the team.
This role offers the opportunity to develop and hone your fundraising talent within a small but ambitious team. You will develop your relationship management skills through cultivating and stewarding your own portfolio of funders. You will gain further skills and experience in fundraising administration, financial processing and event management, as well as employ your creative, imaginative and strategic skills to deliver supporter communications and stewardship plans. Through working closely with other departments across the organisation, you will also grow your understanding and experience of a producing theatre and the subsidised sector.
This role will be ideally suited to someone passionate about the arts, who is keen to lay strong foundations for a career in arts fundraising or is looking for an opportunity that could later act as a springboard into many other roles and career paths by developing a host of transferable skills and experience.
