Fixed-Term Maternity Cover Contract – up to 12 months
As part of London Museum’s sector leadership role, our team of Museum Development Officers (MDOs) work on behalf of London’s other, non-national museums to provide development opportunities and to support good practice within the sector.
We currently have a vacancy in our Museum Development London team.
Our Museum Development Officer, Central & East London provides a general advice service for the many and varied museums in Central and East London, supporting them to identify their change and development needs. Working closely with our funders Arts Council England (ACE), this MDO will provide a business support service for museums and provide advice to enable organisations to achieve and maintain Museum Accreditation.
This MDO will also have an important role in sector communications, producing a regular newsletter for London museums.
This role would particularly suit somebody:
• with experience of working in a museum service at officer or manager level;
• with experience of Museum Accreditation;
• who is a confident museum professional;
• who is a great advocate of museums, and enjoys supporting museums to improve to be the best they can be.
