More detail about the role This is an exciting opportunity to join the Physiotherapy service at the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (Eastern Services) as the Clinical Lead Physiotherapist working across Acute and Respiratory Medicine. The post holder will be responsible for the clinical leadership and management of the physiotherapy team covering the respiratory medicine wards (Culm East & West), high dependency unit, respiratory outpatient clinics and the community pulmonary rehab service. The post holder will carry a clinical caseload of complex patients within the designated inpatient and outpatient areas. They will provide advanced assessment and treatment of patients on a day-to-day basis communicating complex conditions and related information to patients and relatives. The post-holder will be responsible for the management and supervision of the physiotherapy team, covering areas of performance, clinical outcomes and service delivery. The post holder will lead the training and development of less experienced staff, undergraduates and other professionals and be responsible for the development and delivery of on call and weekend competencies for the physiotherapy staff. The post holder will be willing to work flexibly across seven days as required and have advanced respiratory skills to provide weekly support to on-call staff.
