Hours: 36 per week | Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:00

Role Overview
The London Borough of Haringey is looking for a highly organised and resident-focused Decant Officer to join its Adults, Housing & Health team. In this key role, you’ll coordinate the smooth decanting of tenants on both temporary and permanent bases—ensuring every move is handled with empathy, clarity, and professionalism.
Your Responsibilities
Coordinate housing moves and decanting procedures across departments
Act as the main point of contact for residents during relocation processes
Ensure tenancies start and end efficiently, with clear documentation and communication
Deliver a high-quality, resident-focused service under pressure
Work collaboratively with Tenancy Management, Property Services, and Lettings teams
What You’ll Need
Previous experience in a similar role involving tenancy and housing coordination
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
Proven ability to manage competing priorities and complex caseloads
Strong negotiation, mediation, and problem-solving abilities
Ability to present clear reports to a range of stakeholders
Highly organised, resilient, and confident working under pressure
Minimum of GCSEs (including English, A–C or equivalent)
