SEN Outreach Tutor - Buckinghamshire (Part-Time)
About the Role Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Outreach Tutor to provide personalised 1:1 educational support to young people currently not attending mainstream school. This role involves designing and delivering bespoke lesson plans tailored to address individual learning needs, rebuild confidence, and reengage pupils in their education.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified SEN specialist seeking a flexible, part-time position outside the traditional classroom setting, with the chance to make a significant impact through focused, meaningful tuition.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored 1:1 tutoring sessions aimed at supporting pupils' academic progress and emotional development
- Develop and implement bespoke learning plans to meet the specific needs of each pupil and promote reengagement with education
- Monitor and report pupil progress in collaboration with the Prospero Teaching team
- Support pupils in re-establishing structure, routine, and confidence following periods away from education
Contract Details:
- Location: Buckinghamshire and surrounding areas
- Position: SEN Outreach Tutor
- Hours: 10-15 hours per week, with flexible scheduling (minimum 1 hour per session)
- Contract Type: Temporary, contract-based
- Remuneration: Starting from £25 per hour
- Start Date: Immediate or September depending on your availability
Candidate Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTLS, PGCE, EYFS, or equivalent qualification
- Minimum of six months' experience working within UK schools, preferably with SEN pupils
- Current safeguarding training (within the last 12 months) is desirable
- Enhanced DBS certificate or willingness to apply for one
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- Two recent professional references relating to work with children
