Our Client is seeking an experienced and driven Transformation Manager to lead the delivery of high-impact consultancy services across our Children, Families and Lifelong Learning (CFLL) Directorate. This role is key to helping them realise their strategic ambitions and improving outcomes for children, young people, and families across the county.
The Role:
As a Transformation Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in designing and delivering change initiatives that drive innovation and enhance service quality. You’ll lead on operational and technical consultancy, supporting complex transformation programmes and projects from concept to delivery.
Key areas of focus include:
Service and organisational design
Process reviews and continuous improvement
Workshop facilitation and stakeholder engagement
Business case development and benefits realisation
Project scoping, benchmarking, and options appraisal
You’ll be part of a forward-thinking team, flexibly deployed across CFLL priorities such as children’s social care, emotional wellbeing and mental health services, SEND transformation, and lifelong learning initiatives.
What you will do:
Evaluate and redesign existing services to better meet user needs
Apply your expertise to develop innovative, cost-effective solutions
Lead and contribute to major projects and strategic planning efforts
Influence and support internal stakeholders and external partners
Coach and support junior transformation professionals as needed
Play a key role in embedding a culture of change, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Essentials:
A degree or equivalent experience in management or consultancy
Proven expertise in transformation, change, or project management
Strong consultancy skills, including process redesign, LEAN methods, and operating model development
Excellent stakeholder engagement and facilitation capabilities
A track record of delivering measurable improvements in public service or large organisations
Outstanding analytical, problem-solving, and influencing skills
You will also need to be comfortable working in a politically sensitive environment, liaising confidently at senior levels and working across organisational boundaries.
