Crynodeb

An outstanding opportunity has opened up at a warm and inclusive special school in the Wembley area, where every pupil is seen, supported, and celebrated. They are seeking a full-time, permanent SEND Teacher to join their experienced team this September.

You'll be teaching pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, speech and language challenges, and SEMH. With smaller class sizes and support staff in place, you'll have the time and flexibility to deliver high-impact, individualised learning.

The school has a creative and trauma-informed ethos, valuing emotional wellbeing just as much as academic progress. Whether you're delivering structured numeracy sessions or planning sensory-friendly topics, you'll be encouraged to use your initiative and adapt lessons to suit each pupil's needs.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for inclusive teaching, and a desire to work in a setting that truly understands complex needs. In return, you'll enjoy a competitive annual salary, a close-knit staff team, and excellent access to ongoing CPD and growth opportunities.

Whether you're an experienced SEND practitioner or a primary/secondary teacher looking to specialise, this role offers both challenge and reward in equal measure.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver personalised, accessible lessons across the curriculum
• Support the academic, social, and emotional development of pupils with SEND
• Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists, and parents
• Track progress and contribute to EHCP reviews and reports
• Create a calm, inclusive classroom that promotes confidence and engagement
• Implement behaviour strategies and routines to support regulation
• Contribute to school-wide SEND and safeguarding best practices

Qualifications and Experience

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or equivalent)
• Experience teaching children with SEND in any setting
• Strong differentiation and behaviour management skills
• Positive, flexible, and nurturing approach to teaching
• Sound understanding of Autism, ADHD, and other complex needs
• Willingness to engage in further CPD and reflective practice
• Experience working within a special school is desirable
