Summary
SEN Teaching Assistant - Specialist Provision - Brent
Long Term Futures are working with a highly regarded specialist provision in Brent to recruit a team of SEN Teaching Assistants to join their expanding staff from September 2025.
The school provides exceptional care and education for children with a range of complex needs and is seeking experienced professionals who are passionate about inclusive education and supporting pupils with high levels of need.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support for pupils with complex SEND, including ASD, SLD, and communication difficulties
* Assist teachers and therapists in delivering structured and nurturing learning experiences
* Support with personal care, sensory integration, and emotional regulation activities as required
* Contribute to the implementation of EHCPs and personalised learning plans
* Help create a safe, inclusive and supportive environment where students feel valued and understood
* Engage with students using alternative communication methods such as PECS, Makaton or visual timetables
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Experience working in a specialist or alternative provision is essential
* A patient, empathetic and proactive approach to supporting pupils with high levels of need
* Confidence in working with students with significant communication and learning barriers
* Strong teamwork skills and a commitment to safeguarding and inclusion
* Training in moving and handling, personal care or alternative communication is highly desirable
Location & Transport - Brent, London (NW10):
* Well-connected via Willesden Junction, Harlesden, and Neasden stations
* Accessible by bus routes: 18, 226, 260, 266, 297
* On-site staff parking available
