Crynodeb
An opportunity has arisen with MAC Groundwork Contractors Ltd for the position of a Groundworks Site Supervisior.
We would expect the person to have the below key attributes, in order to assist in the key role of planning, co-ordination and supervision of the works;
• Experienced in highways & working around live services
• CSCS & SSSTS (Minimum) NRSWA (Preferable, however on this scheme we can fulfil this role)
• Confident with overseeing drainage activities, kerbing, paving, etc.
• Good communication skills
• Able to use and provide electronic records.
• Ability to read and understand scheme specific drawings & specifications – raise any TQ’s should there be anything they are unsure of/that doesn’t seem correct
• Understand and feedback on programme and progress made.
• Proficient material and plant ordering and stock management
Procedure to complete the works;
• Understand and take ownership of the Permit to Dig (CHL issued)
• Read and understand site STATS plans
• Sign up to pre shift briefing (CHL issued)
• Ensure all are signed into site specific RAMS
• Ensure daily plant checks are being completed
• Complete point of work risk assessment should the task set out in the rams or conditions change
• Direct workforce through internal pre shift briefing of tasks and goals for that shift
• Complete quality checks and record findings (including photos) onto joint inspection test plans (ITP’s) ensuring works are completed to specification and design
• Report back on progress and any delays / additional works / variations to scope to enable commercial team to capture potential EW/CE’s
• Submit daily record sheets capturing the labour, plant, resource on site and the tasks completed. This will feed into the budget sheets.
• Complete site safety audits (1 x week)
As and when required;
• Complete site inductions
• Carry out tool box talks (proactively and reactively)
Upon completion;
• Be involved in site measures
• Produce red line drawings upon completion
• Complete handover documentation with client
