What we are looking for:
We are seeking to recruit an on-site IT Technician to support pupils, staff and other users with their IT requirements as well as to complete additional project work across the school. The successful applicant will be responsible for undertaking a wide range of tasks both within the department and across the wider school campus.
The successful candidate will have experience of and be comfortable in working with Microsoft Active Directory based networks. To succeed in this important role, you will need some of the following knowledge and experience:
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to explain technical info to non technical users
• Experience of IT in an Educational Environment
• Installation & configuration of a range of software and hardware.
• Active Directory knowledge (incl. DNS, DHCP, GPOs)
• Knowledge and experience of working with VLANs.
• Maintaining systems, device settings and data security implementations.
• Knowledge and experience of administering a Google workspace tenant
• Knowledge of managing mobile devices/ Apple Devices via MDM (Jamf)
• Knowledge of cashless catering systems (Fast Trak, Biostore etc.)
Good organisational and problem solving skills together with the ability to support end user queries all the way through to a successful resolution are essential for this role.
