What skills and experience we're looking for

Successful applicants will:

• have previous experience and skills gained by working with SEND children in early years/ primary or special needs settings
• be flexible and committed to use their skills to meet the needs of the range of pupils in the school
• have a willingness to learn more and pass on your knowledge to others• be an enthusiastic, hardworking professional who can motivate and inspire children
• be punctual, reliable and focused.
• have high expectations of themselves and others and be committed to raising standards in teaching and learning
• demonstrate drive, be open to learning new skills and be committed to personal development
• be an excellent team player and role model and be able to work collaboratively with all school staff.
• have a commitment to safeguarding our pupils and staff
• have good communication skills in order to be able to effectively communicate with pupils, parents, families and other professionals

We are looking for a class teacher who is committed to teaching SEN pupils. Someone who is resilient enough to support the continued changes the school needs to become 'good' and help Beaufort to be outstanding in the future. What the school offers its staff

The leadership team are supportive and innovative and are able to offer in-house professional development alongside wider CPD opportunities. We are fortunate to have expert advice from outside agencies such as OT, SALT and BEP who support within our classrooms, providing strategies and ideas that can be used to develop your own teaching skills and the learning opportunities for the pupils. We are also in the unique position of being co-located with a mainstream school. This provides the chance to share facilities and promote good inclusive practice across both schools. Our classes are small and well staffed and we are fortunate to have facilities such as a hydrotherapy pool, two soft play rooms and a newly refurbished sensory room.
