Long Term Futures is seeking a creative, reflective and resilient SEN Teacher to join an Ofsted rated 'Good' SEN setting in Leicestershire. This role is perfect for a teacher looking to grow within a specialist environment supporting students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
This is a fantastic opportunity to take learning beyond the classroom, using extensive grounds and the wider community to bring the curriculum to life.
Role Responsibilities:
- Plan, deliver and assess an engaging curriculum tailored to year 7 learners with SEMH and ASD, ensuring progress for all pupils.
- Adapt lessons to meet the individual needs and interests of your students.
- Build and maintain positive relationships to support learning and emotional regulation.
- Use creative approaches to take learning outdoors and into the community.
- Collaborate closely with the wider education and therapeutic team to support each pupil's development.
What We're Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience working with young people with SEN.
- Knowledge of strategies to build positive, consistent relationships with students.
- An adaptable, creative mindset with a commitment to inclusive education.
- A team player who contributes positively to school culture and improvement.
