The Housing Access Assistant (Scale 6) position is a vital role within our organization aimed at improving housing accessibility and enhancing the quality of life for individuals and families in need. Your responsibilities will include providing support and guidance to clients throughout the housing application process, facilitating communication between clients and housing providers, and assisting with the completion of necessary documentation. Responsibilities
Provide information and support to clients seeking housing assistance.
Assist clients in completing housing applications and necessary documentation.
Conduct needs assessments to determine the most suitable housing options for clients.
Facilitate communication between clients and housing providers or landlords.
Maintain accurate records of client interactions and housing requests.
Develop and maintain relationships with local housing agencies and community organizations.
Monitor and follow up on clients' housing situations to ensure continued support.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience in housing assistance preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with clients and stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with housing laws and regulations is a plus.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficient in using computer systems and software for record-keeping and communication.
Commitment to social justice and a passion for helping others achieve housing stability.
Hours Per Week: 36.00
Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:00
Pay Per Hour: £17.94
Location: Westminster, South West London
