Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 6 Teacher to join a supportive and ambitious team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher or confident ECT who is passionate about preparing pupils for the transition to secondary school. Beginning September 2025.
Duties as a Year 6 Teaching Assistant:
Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons that challenge and inspire pupils
Prepare students effectively for end-of-Key Stage 2 assessments (SATs)
Create a positive, inclusive and high-expectation classroom environment
Monitor, assess and track pupil progress, providing targeted support where needed
Foster strong relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues
Contribute to the wider life of the school, including extracurricular opportunities and school events
Ideal Year 6 Teaching Assistant:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Have experience teaching in Upper Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6
Be confident with SATs preparation and the demands of the Year 6 curriculum
Demonstrate excellent classroom management and organisational skills as a Year 6 Teaching Assistant.
Be reflective, driven, and committed to high-quality teaching and learning
