Summary

Job Summary:
An Assessor working in further education for LITC is responsible for professionally teaching and assessing services in line with the Joint Awarding Bodies’ Guidance for Internal Verification, the NVQ Code of Practice, and the awarding body’s requirements. The role involves teaching and assessing learners, recording progress, and ensuring timely completion of all components of the Qualification Framework.
We are currently looking for experienced and qualified tutors/assessors in Health & Social Care, ITC, and Business who are focused on ensuring learners receive a high delivery standard.

Key Responsibilities
Produce high-quality reports using the online platform, Google Classroom.
Deliver a high-quality program within funding deadlines.
Observe and Document Learner’s work and progress.
Communicate effectively and report on learners' progress.
Design tutoring sessions and individualized learning plans for learners (ILP), and support them throughout the onboarding process.
Maintain candidate records and perform workplace observations (if needed)
Assess and Monitor Learner's Progress to identify gaps
Foresee potential areas of conflict and manage resolutions
Have a Professional Code of Conduct
Be a Team Collaborator
Submit Continuous Professional Development (CPD)


Additional Responsibilities:
Attend monthly meetings with the Lead in quality to discuss caseloads and progress.
Be present for Assessor's and IQA Standardisation Meetings.
Conduct relevant quality checks on all portfolios.
Achieve a high success rate.
Adhere to expense reimbursement policies and submit claims promptly.
Maintain confidentiality as per the agreement.
Contribute to marketing and resource sharing as outlined in the SLA.
Comply with termination and complaint procedures as specified.
Requirements:
3 years of experience in a similar role within further education
Level 3 Award in Education and Training (PTTLS)
Assessor Qualification Level 3
Have strong IT skills and be willing to work with e-portfolios
Up-to-date knowledge of the Joint Awarding Bodies’ Guidance for Internal Verification, NVQ Code of Practice, and awarding body’s requirements.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Identify potential conflict areas and decide whether to take preventive action or facilitate a managed solution with LITC.
