Search Recruitment Group are supporting a leading business in Liverpool in their search for a Management Accountant on a 15 month Fixed Term Contract to support the finance function through a critical period. This role is ideal for someone part-qualified or qualified by experience, with strong UK accounting knowledge and experience owning complex areas of the month-end process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead preparation of the monthly P&L and key journal entries.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain the fixed asset register and record depreciation.
- Post and review bad debt provisions, accruals, and other adjustments.
- Submit accurate VAT returns and assist with compliance tasks.
- Manage intercompany recharges (including multi-currency transactions).
- Support year-end processes and audit requests.
- Train and delegate to junior staff as needed
About You:
- Part-qualified (ACCA/CIMA/AAT) or qualified by experience.
- Proven experience with month-end accounting in a UK environment.
- Confident working on complex accounting areas with limited supervision.
- Good Excel skills
- Collaborative, with experience guiding or mentoring junior team members
What's on offer:
Salary £40,000 - £45,000 dependant on experience
